The money was raised at this year RDMCC Show, held on Wednesday June 15th. In total the local community, and not so local, of bikers helped to raise £8500.
We were happy to donate this money to some great local charities. The presentation of the cheque's was held on October 19th.
£4000 - To The Friends of Meldreth Manor School - This goes to the Manor School - A SCOPE Residential day school offering broad and balanced education for disabled students aged from 9 - 19, with complex care and learning support needs.
£4000 - The East Anglian Air Ambulance
The EAAA is especially needed here in East Anglia as the region covers a vast area, much of it rural. With more than 5,000 sq miles, or 11% of the total area of England, it contains some of its most isolated terrain making it sometimes difficult for land ambulances to reach the scene of accidents and emergencies quickly
£500 - SERV - Blood Runners - Deliver urgently needed blood and fresh mothers milk at night covering the QEII in Welyen, The Lister in Stevenage and Bedford Hospital.
All three charities were overwhelmed with the money donated and were more than happy to come down and collect their giant cheque's.
The Royston Town Crier was there to call the RDMCC to order and was kind enough to present our charities with their cheques.
2000 bikes turned up for the evening back in June, of only 4hours, for our show that is in its 26th year.
